Our lab is broadly interested in understanding gene and environmental factors that influence organismal physiology with a focus on development, stress response, and aging. We use the nematode worm Caenorhabditis elegans to uncover underlying genetic factors that regulate these processes. In the lab, we use a combination of classic and contemporary genetics with a high-throughput screening approach that allows us to design experiments that may be impossible to carry out in a mammalian system.
